BIO
My research goal is to apply the latest findings in the field of fire dynamics and heat transfer to practical problems that can assist diverse communities such as structural fire safety, fire protection, fire investigation, firefighting. In my earlier research project, I developed an open-source package for coupling the CFD-FEM software to understand the structural response to real fires. Researchers and consultancies can use this tool in performance-based designs. Currently, I am focusing on developing the fire safety design for firefighters during the emergency response.
My current research involves developing a framework for smart firefighting tools using data-driven machine learning. By integrating this with a building's Digital Twin, my goal is to forecast future events and guide firefighters in their response efforts. This work involves collaboration across a broad range of fire engineering domain such as fire dynamics, fire modelling, structural fires and evacuation of occupants and firefighters, human behaviour.
