TEACHING & SUPERVISION SUMMARy
My teaching focuses on equipping chemical engineering students with strong analytical, modelling, and data-driven problem-solving skills relevant to modern engineering practice. I teach across professional practice, mathematical methods, process modelling, energy systems, and advanced data analysis, with an emphasis on clarity, structure, and real-world relevance.
A key aspect of my teaching is the integration of process simulation, data analysis, and programming (notably Python) into the curriculum, enabling students to move beyond static calculations to dynamic reasoning about complex systems. I make extensive use of executable modelling workflows and simulation-based examples to connect theory with industrial practice.
My approach is student-centred and supportive, aiming to build confidence, systems thinking, and professional capability. I have extensive experience coordinating large courses and laboratories and have contributed to curriculum development, laboratory redesign, and the introduction of modern digital tools into engineering education.
