RESEARCH INTERESTS

Research Interest: Exploring Vā in Education—A Pedagogical Teaching Model (Master’s)

My research interests centre on the critical role of effective teaching practices in shaping student learning outcomes, with a particular focus on Teu le va and Tōfā Māmao as guiding cultural frameworks. Especially interested in exploring how these cultural concepts influence student success, family engagement, and community well-being. My work aims to examine how these ways of being can nurture inclusive school environments, particularly for Pasifika learners, by embedding culturally responsive pedagogies that honour relationships, reciprocity, and values shared knowledge.
