    Conference Organizer, 'Cultural Animals'. A conference hosted by the New Zealand Centre for Human-Animal Studies in September 2011. This conference showcased research completed by six members of the New Zealand Centre for Human-Animal Studies (including a paper by me on 'Changing Representations of Chickens in Art'), and was also attended by a keynote presenter from Flinders University (Dr Nik Taylor, a world leader on the link between social violence and animal abuse).

    Member, New Zealand Companion Animal Council (2009-present): I represent the NZ Centre for Human-Animal Studies on this national council hosted by the SPCA. The Council (NZCAC) was established in February 1996 to be a forum that will facilitate the achievement of a harmonious relationship between companion animals, people and the environment. As a result the New Zealand Companion Animal Council has since become a respected national organisation representing the amalgam of a diverse range of animal groups.

The sociocultural implications of sexuopharmaceuticals for men and women". I was the sole Principal Investigator on this grant/project, which stemmed from my previous doctoral research on the cultural construction of 'sexual dysfunction' (see NROs 1 & 4).
