Organiser of the meeting "Australarwood - Kaikoura 2011" scheduled to be held on the 7-9th March 2011. This is an annual meeting of Australasian bryozoologists and international researchers also working in the southern hemisphere. The meeting usually totals approximately 20 attendees (8-10 senior researchers; this year from NZ, Australia and the UK, and up to 10 postgraduate student attendees). Although a small group we span geologists working in various parts of the timescale, sedimentologists, biologists and chemists - all linked by our work on bryozoans. This cross-disciplinary approach results in meetings with strong discussions and learning outcomes for all participants. The time taken to organise this meeting was approximately 20 hours. (Note meeting cancelled in final organisational stage as a result of the February EQ.)
