Organising committee for the International Rock Climbing Research Congress, with delegates from Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, UK, USA Australia and New Zealand (2011). I coordinated several field trips and a full day's programme on the environment in rock climbing. This is the first international rock climbing research conference since 1995 and is a significant contribution to the research environment.

Acknowledges individuals or programmes who have influenced the ecological worldview of participants and/or demonstrated a significant commitment to conservation or protection of adventure places.

Together with a group of committed colleagues including academic and support staff, we are working to advance the understanding and influence of sustainability education within the college of education. This includes the revival of the old horticulture gardens as a community garden.
