Dr. Dalila Gharbaoui is an experienced lecturer and educator in political science, international relations, and climate policy, with a strong interdisciplinary and policy-oriented teaching approach. She has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across international academic contexts.
At the University of Canterbury, she delivers guest lecture teaching in areas including:

Dr. Gharbaoui also brings international teaching experience, having served as a lecturer in International Migration Governance at University of Paris 13 (France), where she taught on global migration systems, governance frameworks, and policy responses to human mobility. In addition, she has contributed as a guest lecturer on environmental governance and human mobility at the University of Liège.
She has extensive experience in course design and development, including creating new curricula, securing course approvals, and integrating student evaluation and feedback processes. She also contributes to postgraduate supervision includong research on climate change and mobility in the Pacific.
Her teaching is deeply research-led and practice-oriented, drawing on her extensive professional experience with international organisations such as the UNFCCC and IOM, as well as government and policy advisory roles. She integrates Indigenous knowledge systems, climate governance, and real-world policy challenges into her teaching, enabling students to critically engage with complex global issues.Dr. Gharbaoui’s teaching is characterized by an interdisciplinary, globally informed, and policy-engaged approach, equipping students with both theoretical foundations and practical insights to address climate change, governance, and mobility challenges in diverse contexts.
