RESEARCH INTERESTS

Dan’s research focuses on synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. His work emphasises:

 

Enabling Synthetic Methodologies

  • New (and/or improved) reactions to expedite pharmaceutical and agrochemical discovery.
  • Design and development of industrially relevant reactions using sustainable and environmentally-friendly conditions.

 

Medicinal Chemistry

  • Design and synthesis of natural product-inspired and -derived compounds.
  • Discovery of bioactive small molecules.
  • Identification of novel biological targets and activities.
  • Collaborative projects linking chemistry with biology.
