Dan’s research focuses on synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. His work emphasises:
Enabling Synthetic Methodologies
- New (and/or improved) reactions to expedite pharmaceutical and agrochemical discovery.
- Design and development of industrially relevant reactions using sustainable and environmentally-friendly conditions.
Medicinal Chemistry
- Design and synthesis of natural product-inspired and -derived compounds.
- Discovery of bioactive small molecules.
- Identification of novel biological targets and activities.
- Collaborative projects linking chemistry with biology.
