    Invited member of the "Program Development Committee" " for the 2012 International Polar Year Open Science Conference in Montreal, Canada, with particular responsibility for one of the four areas (Area 3: From Knowledge to Action). At a face-to-face meeting in November 2011, this committee reshaped the structure of the sessions that were part of Area 3 and made the final decisions on which abstracts to accept.
