Jointly responsible for initial business engagement strategy for UC/College of Business & Law. Associated activities also included personally hosting and chairing a public presentation by Mark Adamson, CEO Fletcher Group; and securing $30,000 funding from a local company for an MBA research project.

Active member of Academy of Management, involving conference paper reviews, etc.

Active and full academic member of Strategic Management Society since 2008, presenting papers in 2008, 2009, and 2010 conferences, reviewing papers at 2009 & 2010 conferences and participating in business meetings for the Strategy-as-Practice stream in 2009 & 2010. At the 2010 meeting I was also invited to present an address to the stream at a workshop on discourse analysis.

Member of Standing Conference on Organizational Symbolism (2007-present), participating in electronic forums.

Active and full academic member of Academy of Management since 2004. During the assessment period, I presented papers in the 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2011 conferences, reviewed papers for the 2009 conference and participated in business meetings for the Critical Management Studies and Strategizing Activities and Practice interest groups in 2009 & 2011.

Full Member of British Academy of Management since 1992 and during the entire assessment period (2006-present), presenting papers and participating in business meetings in 2006 & 2008 conferences.
