    I planned and presented much of the science content delivered during a nine-week visit to the University by a group of visiting teacher educators from Bangladesh. The project was funded by the Asian Development Bank and had as its aim the continued improvement of quality secondary teacher training in that country.

    I ran teacher professional development workshops for this event: "Forensic science: solving mysteries in your classroom with activities and ideas to take away". The workshops were well attended and received by local primary school teachers and many gave feedback in the weeks following the workshop that the content had been incorporated into their teaching and learning programmes.

    Joint winner: "Think What If" UC Health and Safety Award 2014. This award is presented annually at the University of Canterbury. I won the award in 2014, jointly with staff from the University Library. The award was made for a computer-based health and safety induction protocol I developed for science laboratories, following research I was involved with into the use of multimedia and augmented reality in science teaching.

    I ran teacher professional development workshops for this event at schools in Christchurch. The sessions presented forensic science as an interesting and engaging context for students to learn science. The workshops were very well attended and received by local primary school teachers.
