My research creates impact through haptic and immersive technologies that make virtual and remote interactions feel physically real. By combining touch perception research with digital fabrication and spatial haptic rendering, my work enables more natural training and skill acquisition in VR, supports meaningful physical connection between people separated by distance through mediated social touch, and advances safer, more intuitive human-computer interaction as haptic devices move from the lab into everyday use.
