RESEARCH INTERESTS
Emma has a range of research expertise and interests within the field of hauora Māori, genetics, primarily injury, disability, rehabilitation, integrated care, health services and health policy.
She is currently the:
- Principal Investigator: POIS-10 Māori: Outcomes and experiences in the decade following injury study (funded by the Health Research Council of New Zealand 2019-2025).
- Co-Principal Investigator: Prospective Outcomes of Injury Study: 10 years on (POIS-10) study (funded by the Health Research Council of New Zealand 2019-2025).
- Co-Principal Investigator: Trauma Outcomes Project (funded by the Health Quality and Safety Commission and the National Trauma Network).
- Co-Principal Investigator: Hinapōuri ki Hīnātore: Improving mental health services and outcomes (funded by the Health Research Council of New Zealand 2023-2026).
