RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research focuses on behavioural neuroscience, neuropharmacology, and the therapeutic potential of natural compounds, including herbal plant extractions, in promoting brain recovery and treating neurodegenerative and metabolic disorders. I am particularly interested in the neural pathways connecting brain regions implicated in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease and schizophrenia, and how insights from animal models can pave the way for novel medical treatments in humans.
