Overview
My research interests are concerned with the application of engineering design to develop innovative design solutions in a wide range of applications including assistive devices for people with reduced function, micromobility tyres, protective sports equipment (for sports including rugby union and field hockey), trail accessibility and mechanical fastening techniques. I am motivated continuously improve my engineering design teaching through completing research on student learning and industry practice. Insights from these studies will enable me to promote effective teaching to engineering students.
