RESEARCH INTERESTS
Grant’s research focuses on protein chemistry, enzyme structure–function analysis, kinetic mechanisms, inhibitor design, and high‑resolution structural biology. He investigates how protein sequence, three‑dimensional structure, and molecular dynamics determine catalytic efficiency, substrate specificity, and regulatory control across diverse enzyme families.
His work integrates biochemical assays, kinetic modelling, and X‑ray crystallography to define molecular mechanisms underlying metabolism, adaptation, and biomolecular interaction. A central theme is linking structural insights to functional outcomes, supporting applications in biotechnology, microbial physiology, and the rational design of enzyme inhibitors.
