    In addition to other conference organization already detailed, I have been an (ordinary) member of the following conference organizing committees: (1) 11th Pacific Polymer Conference (Cairns Aust, Dec 2009): organizer of symposium on “Mechanistic Aspects of Free Radical Polymerisation” and member of Australian/New Zealand Organising Committee; (2) 43rd IUPAC World Polymer Congress, Macro2010 (Glasgow UK, Jul 2010): scientific committee for symposium on “Polymerization kinetics and new concepts in polymerization”.

    Elected chair of IUPAC Subcommittee on "Modeling of Polymerization Kinetics and Processes" in 2007. This is a group of 40 leading researchers in the area who are from academia and industry and are spread across 13 countries, including all the world's leading research nations (USA, Germany, France, Japan, UK, etc.).

    28th Australasian Polymer Symposium

    Appointed chair of the organizing and scientific-program committees of the 28th Australasian Polymer Symposium and 16th Annual Meeting of the Australasian Society for Biomaterials (Rotorua NZ, Feb 2006). This conference attracted 340 delegates and had a budget of about NZ$250k, making it one of the major events of NZ science in 2006.

    From 2004-6 I was the (elected) chair of the Polymer Division of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute. The Division has approximately 800 members and financial reserves of about AU$200k, making it one of the most powerful groupings of scientists in Australasia.
