  • FELLOWSHIP
    Australian Academy of the Humanities
    1 Jan 2010
The Australian Academy of the Humanities Travelling Fellowship Scheme is a highly competitive scheme open to early career humanities researchers in Australia, which offers up to $4,000AUD to conduct research overseas. Each year there are up to two scholars who receive one of these fellowships as Ernst Keller European Fellows because their research relates to Germany. My project on the history of forensic psychology in Germany was awarded this fellowship in late 2010 for travel in 2011.
  • FELLOWSHIP
    Australian Academy of the Humanities
    1 Jan 2009 - 1 Jan 2009
International Research Fellowship, Australian Academy of the Humanities, International Scientific Linkages - Humanities and Creative Arts Programme. (2009). This was a new scheme in 2009 of the Australian Academy of the Humanities intended to fund international travel that would help build research networks between Australian and overseas scholars. It provided $5,000AUD for this purpose. I was awarded one of these fellowships to create links between the University of Queensland and the Science Studies Unit at the University of Edinburgh in the area of the history of psychiatry and psychology. I gave and attended seminars at the University of Edinburgh and spoke to historians of psychology and psychiatry in order to foster links and projects in which both institutions could participate.
  • FELLOWSHIP
Centre for the History of European Discourses
    1 Jan 2009 - 1 Jan 2011
Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Centre for the History of European Discourses, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia. (2009-2011). The postdoctoral scheme at the University of Queensland is highly competitive and receives applications from well-qualified early career researchers from all over the world. In the Faculty of Arts there is normally only one fully funded postdoctoral fellowship per year (sometimes split between several applicants who are co-sponsored by Departments) and between 20 and 30 applicants. In the year that I applied for this fellowship (2008), my application was ranked first in the Faculty of Arts.
