BIO
I have been a research assistant at the University of Canterbury since 2023, researching tax policy, tax justice and accountability to te Tiriti o Waitangi and the rights of Indigenous Peoples. I am a PhD candidate in public policy at Griffith University (School of Government and International Relations) in South East Queensland. My thesis examines the politics of tax policy reform and ideas of fairness in Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. I have previously worked in the public policy and community NGO research fields in New Zealand, focusing on social and economic policy. I have taught at the University of Auckland as a graduate teaching assistant at undergraduate and postgraduate stages in public policy and New Zealand politics.
