Chaired Panel 'British World Citizenship' in the conference 'Endurance and the First World War', 22-23 November 2012. This conference was co sponsored by the University of Canterbury, Canterbury Museum and the Air Force Museum. Two papers from this panel are published in the edited collection 'Endurance in the First World War: Experiences and Legacies in New Zealand and Australia', Cambridge Scholars Publishers, 2014, chapters 11 and 12.

Convenor and developer of an international research project 'Success and the Selfless Manager: Alternatives to "self-interest maximization" in New Zealand and Indian business management policy and practice - historical and future directions'. The project brings together researchers from the University of Canterbury, Lincoln University and the Loyola Institute of Business Administration in Chennai, India. The project has resulted in a research symposium (22 April 2010) and a contract with Gower Publishing for a co-edited book 'Managing Responsibly'.

Organised and chaired a panel, 'Globalization and the Cooperation between the Countries of South Asia and New Zealand', for the New Zealand South Asia Centre Launch Symposium (18 March 2009). International, NZ, and NZSAC scholars and political commentators contributed to the panels and discussion and the symposium was attended by His Excellency the Deputy High Commissioner of Pakistan, members of the University of Canterbury management, members of the public, students and representatives from MFAT, South Asia section.
