    Founded in New York City, ‘Raising the Bar’ is a global award-winning event series that turns pubs and bars into classrooms by combining education and popular culture. On Tuesday 2 May, UC academics will be taking their research to different venues around Christchurch City, Lyttelton and Lincoln. There will be 20 free talks across 10 venues, each venue holding 2 sessions (6pm and 7.30pm). These will be informative but informal talks that won't make you feel like you are back in a lecture theatre - no slides in sight!
