A Senior Fellow has demonstrated a thorough understanding of effective approaches to teaching and learning support as a key contribution to high quality student learning. They may be an experienced member of staff able to demonstrate impact and influence on other colleagues through, for example, responsibility for leading, managing or organising programmes, subjects and/or disciplinary areas.

The purpose of the award is to promote statistics within NZ and to recognise an individual’s sustained contribution to the promotion and development of statistics.

Honorary Life Members are ordinary members of the Association who have been nominated by the Executive Committee and elected by a majority vote at a General Meeting of the Association on the basis of a long and distinguished record of service to the Association. In 2014 there have been 23 members honoured with life membership since 1981.
