BIO

I'm a microbial ecologist interested in the hidden relationships between plants and the microorganisms that live in and around them. My research explores how fungi, bacteria, and other soil microbes influence plant growth, forest health, and ecosystem resilience. I'm especially fascinated by mycorrhizal fungi and the remarkable partnerships they form with plants, and how these interactions help forests respond to environmental change. I combine field ecology, molecular techniques, and remote sensing to better undersant the complex interactions that underpin terrestrial ecosystems.
