Nominated, in 2011, as Chair of College of Education Research Committee. This Committee is responsible for planning and overseeing the research strategy for the College of Education.

Invited to present research-relevant papers/workshops within the counselling profession.

Presentation 1. 2001, To counsellors at the Petersgate Counselling Centre, paper entitled 'The implications of third-party funding on counselling practice'

Presentation 2. 2005, to Hutt-City Kindergartens’ Association. Taita College, a workshop entitled 'Using Research as a Resource in Early Childhood Education'.

Presentation 3. 2005, to the Christchurch branch of NZCPP, paper entitled 'Solution-focused approach to a client case-study'.

Invited by the Canterbury committee to provide an address for the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) colloquium (December, 2011). This invitation came as a result of my research on the professional image of counselling presented at the National ACA/NZAC conference in 2010.
