BIO
I am a public health physician and researcher with a wide range of research interests which include participation, inclusion and mental health in communities. I work and research in public health in New Zealand and India I used mixed methods although qualitative research is my favourite research (so complex and nuanced).
I work in public health in New Zealand and India and support the NZ College of public health medicine as a Training programme supervisor. I am founder/ director Burans (www.burans.org) and we have developed interventions (Nae Disha, Nae Umeed, Swasthya Labh Saadan) that have been adopted and scaled with other non-profits and Nae Disha (a youth mental health and resilience intervention) which was adopted, adapted and scaled by the National Institutes of Disability across India.
