BIO

I have a broad range of research and teaching interests which seem somehow associated with accounting and its political, social, cultural, economic and environmental consequences. I currently stage courses about public management and governance, public finance and accounting, going about business in Aotearoa New Zealand, and applied research and consulting. My research activities and publications currently focus on higher education finance, governance, qualifications credit and research assessment; I-Kiribati, Papuans and other Pacific peoples and what accounting currently means for them in a colonialistic sense; accounting and accountant education; and relations between government and the People, in matters of taxation, expenditure, borrowing and physical and social infrastructure.
