BIO
I am the Director of Architectural Engineering, a multi-disciplinary programme of teaching and research, and lead the Building Innovation Partnership, an 8 year (2018-2026) programme of collaborative research to improve the performance of infrastructure, which is hosted at the University.
My background is in building engineering, with design, research, teaching and policy development experience in the private and public sectors and expertise in building energy performance and sustainable building design.
My current research focuses on: low carbon and climate-resilient design solutions and verification methods for buildings and infrastructure; strategies and pathways to low carbon communities; embedding wellbeing into infrastructure investment decision-making; and digital methods for building design and construction.
