My current research areas include :

- Characterization of materials with exotic properties, and/or materials undergoing phase changes
- Experimental studies of strong multiple scattering of classical waves
- New approaches to make better/new types of images for medical ultrasound, photoacoustic, and non-destructive evaluation of structures/materials

- Flexible arrays of micro acoustic sensors

We currently have a PhD project available on photoacoustic imaging (starting in 2026) - with a qualified candidate, we would apply for a PhD scholarship via the Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum technologies.  Candidates interested in other topics can also apply for  UC Doctoral scholarships.  To apply or for more information, please get in touch directly.
