I am a full member of the Institute of Directors. In 2017 I did the Finance Essentials Course and the 5-day residential Company Directors' course, and obtained a certificate of Company Direction.

I was elected to be the Director of CLPINZ at the 2016 AGM and then re-elected as the Director for a 2-year term at the 2017 AGM.

Director (intern) of Canterbury Development Corporation Holdings Limited and Canterbury Development Corporation. I attend all board meetings and Audit and Risk Committee meetings. I am also a member of the Transitional Committee that oversees the merger between CDC, CCT and mega and major events.

Organising and hosting Professor Luis Cabral's visit to New Zealand (2014-2015) I coordinated with other New Zealand universities our efforts to bring Luis Cabral from NYU Stern School of Business to New Zealand. Luis approached me in 2013 asking if I could help make his tour a reality. In the end, Luis was selected to by the keynote speaker of the 3rd ATE workshop in Auckland in December 2015 and he also gave public talks at University of Auckland, Victoria University of Wellington and here at University of Canterbury. The CEO of Tait Communications was one of the attendees of the public lecture, and Luis and I were invited to visit Tate the day after.

Member of the Advisory Board of the Competition Law and Policy Institute of New Zealand (2013-present)

I have been on the organising committee of Competition Law and Policy Institute of New Zealand Annual Workshops since having been elected to the Advisory Board. I have helped organise the workshops in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, and in 2017 as the Director I chaired the workshop.

I was invited in 2011 to take part in the review of University of Otago's International Business Programme. The review panel has eight members of which three are external to University of Otago: an overseas representative, a New Zealand business representative and me, the New Zealand academic representative. University of Otago's International Business Programme is arguably the leader of such programmes in New Zealand. The review took place in May 2012.
