I'm interested in host-microbe dynamics, working across a range of systems and questions. Current projects include

1. understanding the role of gut microbes in the development of metabolic and immune function in kiwi.
2. tracking invasion routes and adaptation of the fall armyworm in New Zealand and Pacific
3. exploring the role of microorganisms in facilitating plant-pollinator interactions
4. developing eDNA methods and resources for biodiversity and biosecurity monitoring
