University of Canterbury Erskine Fellowship, 2001. During this fellowship I was invited to visit the US Naval Research Laboratory and Carnegie-Mellon University to do research and present my findings.

Member, Light Alloy Manufacturing Group. I provide the South Island link to this predominantly Auckland based organization. I offer the strength of microstructural characterization in light metals.

I am a member of the TMS phase transformations committee. As such, I work on organization of international conferences.
