Key Note Speaker, Open Home Foundation Annual Retreat - 2003, 2005. The Open Home Foundation is a social services and foster care agency. Twice I have been invited as the Key Note Speaker at their annual retreat for staff, social workers, foster parents, and foster child respite carers and supporters.

Invited presentation at the Maxim Institute Social Justice Forum; Auckland, New Zealand (2007). Title: Perceptions of Social Justice in New Zealand (Friesen). In 2005 and 2006 I collaborated on a research project with the Maxim Institute on social justice, which lead to the publication of a chapter in an edited book (Pursuing Social Justice in New Zealand; 2007) and an invited address at the Social Justice forum. Over 100 people attended the forum including academics, members of parliament, and community leaders.
