Invited member of the programme committee of the 21st Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS), Brisbane, December 2010 ACIS is the premier conference on Information Systems in the region, rated "A" on the ERA list. In 2010 I was invited as a member of the programming committee and to review for the following tracks: Business Process Management, IS leadership and the Management of Knowledge and the theme track on establishing high impact discipline. This recognizes my expertise in the above areas.

Invited member of the program committee of the European Conference on Knowledge Management (2007-2008) The European Conference on Knowledge Management is one of the leading conferences in the field, rated "B" on the ERA list. In 2007 I was invited to serve as a member of the program committee.

Member of the NZ Knowledge Management Network since 2003. The NZKM is a network of professionals and academics who work in the area of knowledge management. As one of the few academics doing research in this area, I was initially invited to participate in the meetings of the Christchurch branch.

Member of the Association for Information systems and its local Australia and NZ chapter since 1998.

Member of the EDSIG group since 2004.

Member of the NZ Knowledge Management Network since 2003.

Invited to present a seminar at University of Innsbruck, Monash University

Track chair for Creating the Future: Transforming Research into Practice (Theme Track), 19th Australasian Conference on Information Systems, Christchurch, December 2008 ACIS is one of the premier conferences in Information Systems in the region. In 2008 I was asked to chair the theme track in recognition of my links to industry and academic representatives in New Zealand. I had to promote the track and to manage the reviewing process.

Track chair for the "IS Research and Teaching Approaches, Methods, and Techniques" track, Conf-IRM 2010, The International Conference on Information Resources Management, Jamaica May 2010 Conf-IRM is a quality peer reviewed conference, rated "B" on the ERA list and one of only five AIS affilliated conferences. In 2009 I was invited to be a track chair responsible for the promotion of the event, reviewers' selection and recruitment and the reviewing process of the papers submitted to the track. This invitation recognized my research and contribution in the area of IS education.
