J.C. Sturm's 70-year-old poem 'Brown Optimism' which has recently been discovered and re-published by Professor Paul Millar

Member of the University of Canterbury New Zealand Australia Research Centre, my current project is to establish an interdisciplinary journal of Australasian Studies co-edited with the University of Wollongong.

Invited to speak at the Re-collecting the Canterbury landscape workshop (2011-present). This workshop, held on Wednesday 6 July 2011, involved participants from around New Zealand interested in preserving and restoring aspects of Canterbury Heritage. I was invited to present on the UC CEISMIC Canterbury Earthquake Digital Archive, but was forced to cancel on the day due to illness.
