Formalised an existing strong relationship between the University of Canterbury and the Christchurch Botanic Gardens with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (2011). Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Town said the MOU was an excellent example of the University’s strategic intent to concentrate on major strengths – in this case Biological Sciences.

Fellowship of the New Zealand Institute of Agricultural and Horticultural Science was awarded for an “outstanding contribution to New Zealand horticultural science” (2011). The citation for the award noted research expertise in physiological and molecular plant biology, extensive list of publications, postgraduate supervision, and services to the scientific community. It stated "We consider that through her research and extension with and for the land-based industries, particularly horticulture, that Professor Jameson is a worthy recipient for the award of Fellow of the NZIAHS". Of the some 600 members, 23 are Full Fellows, but only four of those are women.

Invited by ZESPRI to join a Scientific Oversight Committee of four 'leading international scientists', to advise on research projects targeted at the disease threatening to devastate NZ's kiwifruit industry (May 2011).The Committee's role is to review the research projects and programme for the control of Pseudomonas syringae pv actinidiae in New Zealand kiwifruit. This bacterium has the potential to devastate the New Zealand kiwifruit industry as it is currently doing in Italy. Described in Board papers as a “global expert in developmental plant physiology....”, I have so far attended three meetings of this committee in Tauranga.

Invited to chair the panel discussion at the conclusion of the NZIAHS Forum, 'Genetic Modification Revisited' (2009); the forum was designed as an update on the technical and political issues, and the panel included scientists, ministry and politicians.

Invitations to chair sessions at national conferences included at the Queenstown Molecular Biology 2007 Plant Satellite meeting (Plant Gene Expression and Development); at the NZSPB meeting at Lincoln University (2007).

Invited to present a paper in the session on "Hormones and Biotechnology" at the 20th International Conference on Plant Growth Substances, Tarragona, Spain, 2010.

Invited to present a paper in the Seed Biology session at the QMB Plant Satellite meeting (2010).
