Formally invited by Associate Professor Alain Vandal to deliver a 20-minute address in an invited plenary session on Clinical Trials (along with Professors Katrina Sharples and Thomas Lumley).

Professor Gita Mishra (Australian Research Council Future Fellow) invited an international panel to debate “Longitudinal versus Cross-sectional Studies – are the findings worth the extra time and cost?” at the final plenary session of the 2013 Australasian Epidemiological Association's Annual conference. (Including Professor Debbie Lawlor, University of Bristol and editor of the International Journal of Epidemiology). This conference is the peak southern hemisphere conference on epidemiology - drawing many luminaries each year.
