My research focuses on cell–material interactions in engineered and food-grade biomaterials, with an emphasis on cultivated meat and hybrid protein systems. I investigate how mammalian cells attach to, respond to, and organise on plant-derived scaffolds, and how these interactions influence tissue formation. I am particularly interested in protein-based biomaterials, mechanobiology, and the translation of cell biology into scalable sustainable protein technologies.
