RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am interested in researching learning and choice behaviour, particularly regarding how cognitive and behavioural traits such as impulsivity, perseveration, volatility, and cognitive flexibility are important parts of everyday functioning.
There are several neurological conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Schizophrenia, stroke, depression, and addiction where these traits can change from being adaptive to maladaptive at a significant cost to a person’s quality of life and ability to function well.
My goal is for my research to contribute to the literature on these important behavioural traits and help to inform more effective behavioural strategies and treatment options to improve patient’s quality of life and enable them to live more fulfilled lives.
