RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am currently working with LiDAR and optical satellite imagery to analyze surface processes and environmental change in New Zealand. My research increasingly focuses on the use of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) for change detection and time series analysis, particularly in geomorphological processes, glacier dynamics, and hydrological systems. I have used Sentinel-1 SAR speckle tracking to investigate glacier behaviour in New Zealand and previously studied the stability of ice tongues in the Western Ross Sea, East Antarctica, using SAR interferometry, satellite laser altimetry, and optical imagery. I have also conducted research on glaciology and oceanography in the Chilean fjords of Patagonia, including projects linking science and tourism. My current work aims to expand the application of SAR techniques to better understand surface evolution and environmental change across diverse landscapes.
