RESEARCH INTERESTS
Cricket Science and Sports Medicine:
My research focuses on improving athlete health, performance, and long-term participation in cricket through the study of injury epidemiology, sports medicine, athlete monitoring, and performance development. I welcome research enquiries related to cricket science, injury prevention, workload management, and evidence-based approaches to player performance development.
Sports Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation:
I am interested in understanding why injuries occur, how they can be prevented, and how athletes can safely return to sport following injury. Research opportunities are available in injury surveillance, clinical assessment, rehabilitation, musculoskeletal health, and athlete wellbeing across a range of sporting contexts.
Athletic Performance, Strength, and Biomechanics:
My work explores the physical and biomechanical factors that underpin sporting performance, including strength, power, movement quality, and sport-specific testing. I welcome research queries related to performance assessment, biomechanics, strength and conditioning, and applied sport science research.
Exercise Prescription, Participation and Health:
I am interested in how exercise prescription and exercise participation can enhance health, physical function, and quality of life for people living with chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Potential research projects include resistance training for metabolic health, upper limb functional rehabilitation and the application of exercise science in clinical and community settings.
