  • FELLOWSHIP
Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship 2008-2009: valued above 50,000€
    1 Jan 2008 - 31 Dec 2009
I was the single author on a successful grant proposal for the German Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (2008-2009) that paid a monthly stipend of 2100€ to me, 800€ to my academic host institution, and paid for my travel expenses. The research award was to develop a mechanistic thermodynamically based model of skin electroporation. The grant resulted in 2 journal articles, a conference presentation and a book chapter. Additionally, strong collaborative ties with Prof. Heinz Herwig of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) have been created and sustained as a result.
