BIO

I am a clinician, researcher and educator whose work focuses on the intersections of social justice, mental health, and healthcare practice. My research interests include workplace wellbeing, risk and adversity in health care, emotional competence, interpersonal development, the role of police in social care and emergency department mental health crisis intervention.

I am particularly interested in challenging managerialism and power dynamics within health systems, and in exploring how these shape both care delivery and staff wellbeing. My clinical practice informs my research, bringing real-world insight into the complexities of frontline mental health workforce and developing person centred approaches to assessment and treatment.

My broader academic interests include pedagogy, online learning development, and critical social science methodologies, with a focus on co-design and participatory approaches that elevate lived experience and collaborative problem-solving.
