Chaired an education session at the NZAE conference 2011. I was chosen for this role due to my expertise and previous research in the economics education field. In this role, I commented on conference presentations in the session, and led the discussions and subsequent questioning.

Invited to chair a session at the First Year Co-ordinators Workshop 2011. Given my research interests in secondary sector achievement, I was invited to chair a discussion on the numeracy and literacy skills of students entering first year economics courses, and the impact for tertiary lecturers.

Presentation at the 2008 NZCETA Conference: Economic Issues relating to Sustainability, curriculum links & some teaching ideas. Invited by NZCETA (New Zealand Commerce and Economics Teachers Association) to present at their 2008 National Conference.

Organised and contributed to a roundtable discussion at 2009 NZAE Conference 'What Should Be Contained In The High School Economics Curriculum'? Invited representatives included one from every NZ university, as well as representatives from NZCETA, The Ministry of Education and NZQA.

Special Session on “Facilitating transitions of students to tertiary-level economics” at 2010 ATEC conference. Invited to participate by conference organiser.

Presented a seminar at Oxford Brookes University on gender effects in economics education.
