BIO

As co-lead of the Conservation, Systematics and Evolution Research Team (ConSERT), my interdiscipinary research centres on the genomic and demographic consequences of small population size and applying that knowledge to strengthen recovery outcomes for species-at-risk. In partnership with mana whenua, conservation practitioners, primary industry and local communities, we combine genomic and non-genomic evidence using innovative approaches to co-develop conservation management strategies for Aotearoa New Zealand's rarest species.
