RESEARCH INTERESTS

We have a number of projects under way including leading a national survey rollout with Oranga Tamariki, a series of Integraded Data Infrastructure (IDI) projects, and experimental studies using machine learning and AI.

 

Here are a few examples of projects we are currently working on:

  • Using administrative data to investigate the impact of child maltreatment on health
  • Analysing social media content to understand the harms and benefits for adolescents
  • Studying the impact of Māori martial arts on our development and cultural embeddedness
  • Conducting a national survey on the mental health of children in care
  • Developing new methods to impute and analyse complex survey data
