    Co-convenor of the ChCh Discourse Research Group. This was est in 2001 as a forum for researchers in ChCh who use discourse analytic methodologies. 40-50 members from a variety of academic institutions. Also a forum for monitoring postgraduate students.

This was established in 2001 as a forum for researchers in Christchurch who use discourse analytic methodologies. 40-50 members from a variety of academic institutions belong to the group.     I was invited to participate in a Conference Panel Discussion on 'Configuring Gender and Sexuality across the University', at the Sociological Association of Aotearoa New Zealand Conference in 2008.

    Invited to present a paper on my research at a one day symposium: 'Sexualities Against the Grain' at the University of Auckland, 19 February 2010. It was hosted by 'The Gender and Critical Psychology Group' and the Journal 'Feminism and Psychology'.

    In August 2011 I was invited to present a lecture on the Marsden funded research project (Girls, 'Tween' Popular Culture and Everyday Life) for the University of Canterbury 'Spring Lecture Series'. The series was initiated to raise public awareness of the Universty's research outputs and to enhance the university's connectedness with the central city.
