BIO

"My recent research focuses on how technologies such as Blockchain interacts with supply chains, with a particular interest on Trust, Transparency, Provenance, and Automation"

 

Ubaid is a dedicated professional with a comprehensive background in Supply Chain Management. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Western Australia, Perth, Australia, with a focus on the impact of Blockchain technology on Supply chains, particular the Marine Bunkering Supply chain. He is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Management, Marketing and Tourism at the University of Canterbury, teaching courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management, such as Operations Managemet, Logistics & Retail Distribution Management, and Procurement. Before joining UC, he served as an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management in Pakistan.

 

Beyond academia, Ubaid has enriched his professional profile through industry experience, working as a Technology Consultant at EY Australia. He worked on projects where technolgy such as Blockchain was incorporated in supply chains to improve efficiency. In this role he provided expertise regarding technology implementation and system architecutre.
