TEACHING & SUPERVISION SUMMARy
I teach and develop courses that apply geospatial and remote sensing technologies to forestry and natural resource management. My teaching emphasises hands-on learning and practical skill development, so students gain confidence working with real data and industry-relevant workflows to solve real-world problems. I also prioritise an interactive learning environment through demonstrations, guided exercises, and discussion.
I supervise undergraduate dissertations and postgraduate research projects in forest remote sensing and geospatial analysis. I enjoy working with students who want to tackle applied problems using LiDAR, UAV and satellite data, including machine learning and time-series approaches, and I support them to produce strong, well-structured theses and publications.
Courses taught:
FORE141/ENFO204: Forest Growth and Measurements
FORE242: Geospatial Science in Forest Monitoring and Management
FORE448: Advanced Remote Sensing in Forestry and Natural Resource Management
FORE419: Management Case Study
