The Waterways Centre strives to bring bright minds and broad skillsets together to address freshwater challenges in Aotearoa and beyond. Our research delivers insights into freshwater quantities, variability and processes ki uta ki tai, from the mountains to the sea.

We are a centre for applied research and teaching, run out of both Canterbury and Lincoln universities. Our research delivers insights into freshwater quantities, variability and processes ki uta ki tai, from the mountains to the sea. We also search for new ways to work together to address issues in multi-user freshwater systems including in river restoration and policy.
