President of the New Zealand Speech-language Therapists' Association (2010-present). I was elected President of the NZSTA for a 2 year term. This role involves governance and management duties that include overseeing the work of the Executive Council and Executive Director and developing national and international networks for the association.

Trustee for the Assistive Technology Alliance of New Zealand (2009-present). I was voted on as Trustee of ATANZ by members of ATANZ at the 2009 AGM. This includes governance and management roles within the organisation. This involves promotion and education of assistive technologies and augmentative and alternative communication.

ATANZ Conference committee chairperson. I am chaired the conference planning committee for the biennial Assistive Technology Alliance of New Zealand held in Christchurch in July 2009. This role involved attracting presenters from overseas and within New Zealand, reviewing proposal submissions, and co-ordinating the organising team.

Invited to present at the American Speech and Hearing Association Convention, Chicago, 2008 - Undergraduate curricula in speech-language-hearing: Reasons and models for change. The presentation was made alongside 3 academic professors from United State Universities.
